Welcome
We are a group of amateur radio and electronics enthusiasts from the Staffordshire area. We hold a club meeting every Wednesday evening from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. in Stafford, where we get together to discuss our hobby, operate a club station, work on club projects, and test and repair equipment.
During the spring and summer months, you can often find us within Cannock Chase AONB, where we set up a station and operate using our club call sign, GX3SBL. In the past, we have also operated from Billington and Tackeroo campsite in Staffordshire and Buxton in Derbyshire, where we set up a station and used club equipment over the course of a weekend or possibly a week, and we encouraged our club members to visit and participate in activities.
We are encouraging our members to understand, build, maintain, repair and test electronics projects, such as but not exclusively analog and digital audio, logic/micro control, circuit and software design.
During the winter, we work on our own and/or club projects, building, testing, servicing, and repairing equipment. Other winter activities include talks and demonstrations from club members and visitors.
If you are interested in joining us, feel free to get in touch with our membership secretary for more information on how to join. Come along and say hello on most Wednesday nights from 8 p.m. at Wildwood Community Centre, Stafford.
