Improved Internet access from the clubhouse

Thanks to Nick for providing a spare 4G router which we successfully setup at the clubhouse last Wednesday evening (09/03/2022). The router and new Internet connection were immediately, successfully used by several of our remote members who connected into a Zoom conference held at the clubhouse. The conference was maintained for over an hour without any dropout. Download bandwidth was measured at around 10 Mbps.

We hope that this new connection will continue to provide members with remote access to Zoom sessions held at the clubhouse on Wednesday evenings, while also allowing members attending club evenings access to relevant Internet based resources, such as RSGB online talks/presentations and Internet assisted radio operating activity, such as digital hotspots, Allstar, Freestar, websdrs etc.
